Museums in London

There are a number of historic museums in London and most of them offer free admission. Some of them are too large to look through in one day. There are many museums in the centre of London, and it's fun to visit all of them spending a whole day.
Let's go to museums by train!

The museum building used to be a South Bank power station, and a huge chimney still remains as a part of the building. They exhibit contemporary art, and it's fun to look around. Shopping at the museum shop could be another fun! There are many items including postcards, posters and plates on which the exhibits are printed.

Tate Modern

It's one of my favourite museums which is located by the River Thames, and it's really nice to visit there especially on a sunny day. The entire museum is really "pop" and it's coloured in white, pink and yellowish green inside which makes you feel so happy. It's not such a large museum, but I recommend it.

Here is another museum you'll definitely enjoy! The building of the Science Museum looks traditional, but it has a "cyber" look on the inside. It feels like you are looking at some attractions at an amusement park. They exhibit living creatures, vehicles and all the other stuff in the past, now and in the future.

It's facing the Trafalgar Square and many people bask there on a sunny day. You can see The Sunflower by Van Gogh, The White Water Lilies by Monet, and a lot more.

National Gallery

It's a huge museum, and it's unbelievable that it's all free to see. (I always donate some money there.) You can see so many things including the Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies and Japanese samurai warriors' armour. It's always crowded so I recommend you to have a lot of time to spare when you get there.

Victoria & Albert Museum

John Lennon visited there secretly and it's a white fashionable building. It's located in the area where a lot of artist are living, so you'll see many fashionable people in the area. It might be a bit difficult to find the building, but please visit there if you have a chance.
